Bastien Le Corvellec — On the ground in Asia
in jewelry, the price of a piece often has nothing to do with its real value.
It all started on the roads of Asia — by bicycle, through India, Nepal and Bangladesh.
In Jaipur, at the heart of the precious stone markets, one reality became impossible to ignore: the same stones, the same craftsmanship… but prices multiplied the moment they reach a boutique.
Returning from that journey, a decision: understand this trade from the source. Next stop — Bangkok, the world capital of gemology, to train and gain direct access to the workshops.
Then came the fieldwork: Kenya, Cambodia, Vietnam, Burma… meeting raw stones, skilled artisans, and the people who truly make this trade.
Over time, a network took shape. A vision too.
- — Eliminate the middlemen
- — Keep only what matters: quality, craftsmanship, and fair pricing
Today, Gotama gives you access to this ecosystem.
Every piece is crafted in 18-karat gold, in the same workshops used by jewelry professionals — with personalized guidance every step of the way, from stone to finished creation.
The result:
fine jewelry, at a fair price —
